I recently wrote about wrestling with the question of gay relationships within the context of Christianity (here), and especially in relation to Christian leadership. Its a topic increasingly being faced by Christians, and increasingly the response is a deep polarization to one or other side, or an acquiescence into apathy about seeking a solid biblical understanding.
I hold to a clear biblical definition of marriage, but that is not the same as talking about gay relationship. In this time of thinking about the issues, I've been reading a lot, and found this article helpful. I don't often point elsewhere from this blog, but this article was good for my hubris. Why?
Probably the best therapy is to express yourself. Why do you think psychiatrists make you lie on the couch and talk, while all they do is murmur "hmmm", "uhuh", or "go on"? Archives
